| 2. SAND DESIGN World Championship in Sandsculptures 2009 in Germany |
Directed by sandcity, the elite of international sandsculptors meets this summer for the 2nd time in Leipzig / Halle.
Again, 8 international teams from Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia compete for the title, this time under the motto „Mythical Creatures of the World“.
Each team of 2 artists creates its imagination of the theme using
50 t of sand in an area of 8 x 8 m.
Additionally, the sandcity-team builts up a „master piece“ out of 600 t of sand with a height of 8 m. |
